ORMTA Recitals 2009-10

HALLOWEEN RECITAL

Date: Sunday, October 25, 3pm

Location: St. ChristopherÕs church in Burlington

Eligibility: All piano students age 10 and under, voice & other: 12 and under

(Halloween-themed music is encouraged but not mandatory)

Performers wear costumes; teachers are encouraged to do the same!

Goody bags are handed out after the concert!

*Deadline to register: October 11

CHRISTMAS RECITAL

Date: Sunday, December 6, 4pm

Location: **NEW: Royal Botanical Garden auditorium in Burlington

Eligibility: All students. Ensembles, duets, etc.

*Deadline to register: November 22

(if we can get someone to play Santa, we may give out goodie bags to these performers as well)

FIRST-CLASS HONOURS RECITAL

Date: Sunday February 28, 2010, 3pm

Location: St. ChristopherÕs church in Burlington

Eligibility: All students who achieved First Class Honours marks (80+) on Conservatory

exams between December 2007 through Summer 2008).

*Deadline to register: February 14

*Proof of marks must be submitted to Francine McIsaac fmcisaac@mountaincable.net or 905- 561-1689 (electronic copies accepted).

*****Deadline for this is October 14, 2009

 

SENIOR RECITAL,

Date: Sunday, April 11, 2010, 3pm

Location: St. ChristopherÕs church in Burlington

Eligibility: Students in grade 8 and higher, who have auditioned and been chosen by an outside adjudicator.

Auditions take place end on Saturday, March 6, deadline to apply TBA.

 

**For these four recitals only contact: Tiiu Haamer tiiu@cogeco.ca or 905 315-7863 and please provide COMPLETE information on ALL SIX ITEMS: Students name, age, grade level, title, composer, and length of piece. Time limits will be set, so you may be asked to reduce your repertoire length, or number of students. As a general rule, the maximum length for any one piece will be 5 minutes.
